QUILT PATTERN - Free Spirit by Judi Madsen

Free Spirit is my newest pattern and is such an amazing design.  It is so versatile, it could be made up with solid fabrics, like my sample – or you could put it together with your favorite fabric prints.  The solid fabric quilt top lends to more quilting possibilities because of the negative space, while a busy fabric choice would work better with an edge to edge quilting design.  Either way, it’s up to you.  I just hope you have as much fun putting this quilt together as I have.  With this design, you can’t go wrong on your fabric choices.

Fabric Requirements

• 2 1/4 yards blue (A) fabric
• 2 yards pink (B) fabric
• 2 yards green (C) fabric
• 5 yards grey/background (D) fabric
• 2/3 yard binding
• 5 yards 44” wide fabric for backing
• 90 X 90 inch batting

Finished quilt size is approximately 85 X 85 inches.
