Moda Scrap Bag (50% off)

A few weeks ago I ordered 3 of these scrap bags. I was so pleased with them that I recently ordered 3 more. I am even more pleased with these! All of the strips are cut selvage to selvage and at least 2 1/2” wide, and the strips from each bag are all from the same fabric collection. These bags are great for mixing in with other fabric collections and are also great for making scrap quilts and string quilts. I will be buying more. GFQ have the best price for these scrap bags.

I ordered 5 bags and was very happy with each one! Currently making a jelly roll rail fence twin size quilt from one of the bags with a little help from another bag. I have ideas in mind for the other bags as well. I will definitely order again.

First time ordering the scrap bag. I received the most beautiful fabric. Most of the cuts were 2.5 in or smidge larger. I made a sweet table runner for my dining table for summer. I saved the name of the fabric and am looking to purchase a layer cake for a quilt. I definitely will purchase another bag. Thank you GFQ!!

I ordered two of these bags. 99% of them were 2.5 inches wide. A couple of them were cut a little wonky, but I trimmed them up just fine. These were perfect for my scrappy potato chip quilt!!! Will buy more.

I've loved all the bags of Moda scrap rolls that I've gotten. Most are wide enough to cut down to 2.5 inch strips with just a few strips being too narrow, which is the gamble with ordering the end of bolt strips. Loved my latest bags with Christmas and 4th of July fabric!! Exactly what I wanted!

Received my Scrap Bag today. Fantastic leftover strips that can be used in so many ways, so very happy with my bag. Will order more and so much fun.

So fun to open up the bags and figure out how to use them. If they are not useable at 2 1/2”, I cut them all down to 2” and that works fine. I’ve been happy with them.

I have ordered these once before and told my girlfriend about them. I had already had her Christmas gift done. I always pick up items throughout the year. I knew I was going to get her one to try out. Oh my! It is beautiful. I do want to open it but is a gift. I know she will love it

I ordered two of these since the price was so good. I absolutely LOVE what I got! Both bags had a single collection of beautiful coordinating fabric strips. All are plenty wide, even the ones with selvage.

I have ordered several of these over the past couple of years. They are so much fun to open. You never know what you're going to get. I've received fabric lines of all kinds including Kansas Troubles, Lella Boutique, Coriander, Fig Tree and many more. I've liked most of what I received. I have noticed that bags I've received at the end of or beginning of the year will usually have a few Christmas-themed fabric lines. (They seem to be seasonal collections depending on when you order them.). Recently, when I purchased 5 bags, 2 were Christmas, 1 was Halloween, 1 was a red and white collection and 1 was a collection of tan, orange, green and brown fabrics. (I gifted the last one to someone who I know enjoys that color scheme. Most of the bags I have ordered have been great. I've had a couple that were baby-themed fabrics and not anything I'd use or order. It truly is the luck of the draw- a fabric lottery. At these prices, you just can't beat it. Great fun!

I recently ordered 4 Moda scrap bags and LOVE them. They were all different and great fabric. My favorite of course was the Kansas Troubles one! Some of my favorite fabric and was like it was just picked for me. I can hardly wait to start using! Will definately be ordering more.

I had been looking at these for a bit of time and when I finally was going to buy, it was out of stock. Ok, maybe it wasn’t the right time to buy. So when I saw they had some available I picked up two bags. Omg! I am in love! I am new to sewing and am just starting my first strip quilt and I want to so restart and use these scraps. Yes they have salvage ends but to me they will add character to my quilt. I love both bags. The fabric is gorgeous and I am not sure if they are from the same manufacturer but I love how they do work together. I can’t wait to start using them.

I received beautiful fabric roughly 3 inch to 4 inch wide. This will make a gorgeous quilt.

I ordered ay least 8 of these bags and I'm so happy with all of them. A couple had selvage, which I'm fine with. I think I ended up with two duplicates but I'm good with that, too. They varied from pastels with flowers to fall brown and red. There was even some Halloween in one. I'm working on several projects with strips and I love the surprise of seeing what's in each bag!

I’ve ordered three of these so far, so that I could share with my mother. We both love them! The fabric has a very nice feel to it, and it’s fun to see what we get. Even with the selvage, these make usable strips. I’ll be ordering more!

I read all the great reviews and thought what the heck let’s give this a try. I got my first two bags today and I absolutely love everyone of them. I’m trying to Bild up a stash so I’ll will definitely order some more.

Excellent bag of strips! Love the colors and fabrics, and they are great for adding to any quilting project. The last time I ordered 3, and while 1 had mostly strips with selvages, I never mind because I use them to make scrappy binding. Definitely a value and I'll be ordering more.

My third time to order. They are just as described. Thus time I received two with selvage edges that were collections 36 strips 1.5 to 2.75 in. One Christmas with I love and one white/pale blues which I don't. The other 4 are mics.25 to 29 2.5 wide strips. They are all definitely scrappy. I plan to use them to make a quilt like my Grandma used to make. Don't know what I'll in up with but that's the fun of a scrap bag. For sure will purchase again.

I was a little skeptical because it was my 1st time ordering. Thought I would build up my scrap pile. Material came. Good quality. Coordinates well. Probably won't put in my scrap pile & make a quilt out of them. Will buy again. I bought 2 bags & both were very different. One was Halloween which I thought was great!

Took a long time to get her-like over 10 days-but I LOVE the scrap bags and will be ordering more again very soon-good quality for the money. Ist time I have ordered these-well worth the money-Thank you very much.

I have often been tempted to try scrap bags, but never had. I just got mine today - I love it! They are mostly 2-1/2" and 2" strips, and they seem to all be from the same collection and coordinate incredibly well. I will not count on it always being like that, but I know I will definitely buy more of these in the future. I felt like this scrap bag was picked just for me! Thank you!

I took a chance on this mystery bag and I am so glad that I did. I love the scraps of fabric that came in my mystery bag and what's even better is that they will coordinate with the layer cakes that I purchased. I can't wait to get started on my next project

Excellent surprise when I opened my scrap bag. One of the scrap bag was completely 2 1/2” strips and the other had to be cut dow, but still all workable for craft and quilt projects. I made with the different size bag a quilt as you go table mats and they came out adorable. We’ll continue to buy these mystery scrap bags.

I have wanted to try these for a while so was glad to see the sale.I ordered 2 bags. Both have the same collection. American Jane Story Time and a few strips of Flirt. They all coordinate well. They were neatly wrapped and all but 3 pieces were cut syraight so it was easy to trim. I cut then to the widest possible size for each since in my crumb blocks I dont need standard sizes. The quality of moda is amazing.The strips were a joy to cut..no fraying.I works not pick the collection on my own but I like it and Im glad to have some new designs in my stash.I well try to pist a picture of my cuts fit the first bag. I had 32 strips all about 34" or 36". I cut mostly 2.25" and 2.5" and the others various sizes 1.5" and 2" etc. One was 3". Overall pleased and will order more on sale.I could not buy at listed full price as I powder to buy yardage, but in sale totally worth it..try it!

I ordered 9! Three of the bags were different collections, but the same colors and very close in pattern. They will make a pretty quilt! The others are nice too. I love fun stuff!

I purchased 3 scrap bags and found them to be excellent in quality. They are strips of various widths but will be very useful. I will buy more bags.

May of got some edges that are unusable in there BUT still so much FUN fabric and still totally worth it! It is fun to get the surprise fabric and totally enough to make something fun with it. Ordered 5 bags and they were ALL completely different fabrics. 100% Happy and will order more!

I couldn't wait to receive my Moda Scrap bag! They were delivered today (I had ordered two) and I can't wait to make them up. One was a black and white mix. Beautiful! The quality is good too.

Please do not think me a horrible person. I ordered 2 Moda Scrap Bags, one for me, the other to include in a Christmas package for a friend. I just lived them soooo much, I kept them both. I know! Today I finished a Valentine quilt using half of one bag. Maybe I should give it to my friend.

I made a quilt out of two scrap bags. I will definitely be ordering more.

Grab bag

I've ordered five of these grab bags in the last several months, and I think they're one of the best values- not just on this site, but on the internet as a whole. The Moda fabric always looks and feels wonderful!! If you like surprises, and especially if you want to "stretch" a bit, or you're open to trying new things, in colorways that you might not usually seek out, then these Moda grab bags might be just right for you. The bags tend to be mostly color-coordinated, and each bag is likely to contain strips mainly from one or two lines of fabric, so that if you get just one bag its likely to be useful for a project just on its own. I will come back later and write in more detail about the bags I got, but I love them all, for different reasons. So for now, just know that my best advice is to order these at least two at a time, if you like grab bags. The one time I ordered only one, I wished I'd ordered two! So it'll be two or three at a time, for me, from now on. A great value for the money, and the fabric is fantastic!!

I'd ordered one a while ago that was nice ut not my style; saved it somewhere for later. I got another just to give it another try, and got basically a coordinated jelly roll! I used nearly all the strips for a GORGEOUS quilt top and could not have been more pleased! Will definitely try more in the future -- all the fabrics are quality cuts and prints!

Just received three more grab bags today. Love them all and I'm looking forward to the projects I'm using them for. This is the second time I've ordered these and will definitely order again. Shipping was super fast so I was really happy about that. These are well worth the money.

I received these in the mail today and they are worth every penny. I ordered 3 of them. One of them especially has fabrics that are perfect for what I e been doing and coordinate perfectly with the other fabrics I have. I really love the others as well. Will definitely order again.

I have to disagree with the other reviews. EVERY strip in my bags had salvages. After trimming most strips were less then 2.5". These are not WOF, strips are 31". It was a lot of work to trim, yes you do get many fabrics from 1 collection but to me not worth the work for the price.

Just got my one scrap bag and wished I'd bought more. Loved all the different fabrics and many coordinated with each other. I'll be getting more. 2

I've had several scrap bags lying around and no time to play with them. Pulled out one to make some darling zippered pouch bags and potholders. Such a frugal way to use coordinating fabrics for fun projects!

I was pleasantly surprised to see the strips I got. I am planning on getting a few more to add to my order next time.

I really can say I’m ever disappointed with these grab bags. But I got lucky with 2 as they were almost the same pattern of pinks. The third bag was a random mix, but I think the 2 bags will make a great twin size quilt. Definitely worth it!

I can take these strips and mix them and make just about any quilt . These are well worth buying .

I have ordered these before and have been extremely happy. This time I ordered 2 and both were almost all solid fabric. I don’t use solids so that was a little bit of a bummer.

I just received my first two. One of them is from Sunday stroll with strawberries. I will use that to make a couple presents. The other one was a mix of Hallows eve and dark tone tiny florals. Great value for the quality. They are 1.5 to 2.5 inch stripes as described.

I wanted to make a pattern I found that uses strips of lots of scraps. My two bags really are going to be perfect for that. I will definitely get some more next month.

I bought three Moda scrap bags to try them out. Two of the three were good with nice strips, some coordinated from the same line, but the third bag was all selveges with very uneven, SMALL cuts. By the time I trimmed the selveges off, I had to toss many strips that were barely an inch wide - not very useable unless you’re into string quilts, which I’m not. So, two out of three were as advertised:

Ordered 2 bags one was a great mix of 2,5” strips, the other was mix3 sizes of apricot and ash. I’m trying to build a scrap stash, so this is fun!

I got two bags, one had several different lines of fabric some looked older 1 Christmas one thrown in. The second was just half strips 2.5-3 inches by 21 inches. Not sure what to do with either one but am not disappointed and still think they are a good value.

I've been reading all of the reviews and I figured I would order a scrap bag to try. I was amazed to find an entire bag of strips from a collection that won't be sold to the public for another month. After trimming selvages there was plenty of fabric to make a child's quilt. I plan on purchasing at least one scrap bag each time I order, when they're available!

I first ordered 1 bag to see if all the great reviews were correct. I was in awe of the beautiful strips from the same collection. I continue to order and have gotten the most beautiful Christmas strips. I can make so much with them . I have ordered at least 5 bags so fat and am getting more today!

I ordered three bags and they all are great. One bag had two collections in it. The second bag had salvage but the strips were wider. This bag will be great for making pot holders. The third was just awesome. I will be buying these again and now regret that I didn't order a few more.

This was my 1st time ordering these bags. I ordered 4. Two of them were fantastic. The other 2 had alot with salvage that wouldn't equal 1.5 inches with the salvage taken off so I wasnt as excited about them.

Whether you get a holiday print, baby theme, floral or just a crazy bunch of strips.These are the jelly roll purchase for the value. My last bag had selvege but quarter of the bag was 3.25 inches. Cannot complain.

Throw your doubts away, these strips are beautiful! So many things I can do with them. Great quality, beautiful patterns...go ahead and buy it!

I’ve ordered more than 15 of these bags from Green Fairy Quilts and not once was I disappointed. Great price and consistent quality. It's a present you get to be surprised when you open it. I bought 2 and one had 3 inch strips and the other was standard. I've always loved these moda bags.

I am excited to start some scrappy projects using the scrap bag! I was thrilled with the selection I was sent and spent the evening wacking up the strips into 1 1/2 or 2 1/5 inch strips. The selvages are set aside for another project! A big bang for the buck!!!

my husband is retired Navy and the first grab bag i opened was red white and blue. Could not be more thrilled. I have so many patterns running thru my head. It will be a surprise for my sailor. So excited because I didnt think I would be so lucky. Im back to this site to order me even more. Great price and it came is such a timely manner.

My strips were more selvage, some of strips I could not even get a 1.5 inch block. I am gong to try again since there are so many good reviews.

I ordered a scrap bag once... came with so many odds and ends I did a bear paw in 2.5 inch random squares to use them all. ordered again (cause they're half off) and got entirely porcelain designs.... gorgeous! for 11 bucks!

I have used these scrap bags for years. They are perfect for scrap quilts. The selvages don't deter me at all because i use those for mug rugs and other projects too. I have never been disappointed in one and infact have been pleased. Plus i love the surprise of not knowing what I will get. It's a lot of fun for the cost of a burger and fries!

I received strips of most of the prints from the Northport collection. The strips were all of a usable even if there was a selvage to remove. Will definitely buy this item again. Highly recommended.

From the reviews I read it sure seemed that these scrap bags would be bursting with strips. Sadly the two bags I bought one was 22 strips and the other 25. One very very colorful and I love it. The other muted and all browns. Not sure what happened to my purchase. Thx and I’m happy I only paid 50% of the orginal cost. Maybe my unlucky day!

I got Kansas Troubles which is my all time favorite pattern! Felt like they read my mind with selection!

Loved it! I got almost the complete collection of strawberry jam (only one pattern missing) and most of them are 2” wide after trimming the salvages. I think this would be enough for a small quilt. Worth the price!

Absolutely worth it! Love love it! Received a gorgeous moda jelly roll with some cut off but entire 42 pieces! Was so very happy and excited!
